
"Training of Trainers" programme conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Guwahati, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at Don bosco Higher Secondary School, Kokrajhar.
Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Kokrajhar, hosted the “Training of Trainers” programme conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Guwahati, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in collaboration with the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management(ISTM) from 7th -8th March 2025.
The programme commenced with a short inaugural session on the 7th March 2025 at 09:00 AM IST in the KV George Memorial Hall, where the resource person, Dr. Subhrajyoti Ray, Joint Director of Government of West Bengal, National level Trainer and Consultant, DoPT, Govt.of India was felicitated. Mr. Arvind Kumar Mishra, Deputy Secretary cum Head COE, CBSE Guwahati, graced the occasion with his presence and delivered a word of exhortation. He also read out the message from the Director of Training, CBSE.
The programme was also attended by Ms. Preety Khatri, Assistant Secretary Training, CBSE HQ Delhi. The dignitaries were honoured with the traditional Bodo “Aronai” (Muffler).
Fr. Emmanuel Marngar, SDB, Principal of Don Bosco HS School Kokrajhar presented the welcome speech, highlighting the significance of the programme in meeting the paradigm shifts in education. He emphasized that the modern world has moved beyond traditional methods of instruction and learning, necessitating continuous professional development for teachers.
In line with the NEP 2020 recommendations, which mandate 50 hours of continuous professional development for teachers, CBSE has initiated this programme to build capacity among educators. The programme aims to equip Principals, Vice Principals, PGTs, TGTs, Coordinators, and other categories of teachers with the required training skills to conduct effective trainings across the country.
The “Training of Trainers” programme is a significant step towards enhancing the quality of education in the region, and Don Bosco Higher Secondary School is proud to have hosted this initiative.
