Rev. Fr. Tharakunnel Pius Varghese SDB was formally installed as the new Rector of Don Bosco College, Tura on 09th March 2025.
On the evening of 9th March 2025, Rev. Fr. Tharakunnel Pius Varghese SDB was formally installed as the new Rector of Don Bosco College, Tura. The installation ceremony was presided over by Rev. Fr. Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim SDB, Vice Provincial of the Salesian Province of Guwahati, who was delegated by the Provincial, Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, currently attending the General Chapter 29 at Valdocco, Turin.
The event was attended by the community members, who witnessed the swearing-in of Rev. Fr. Pius Varghese as the new Rector. In his opening remarks, Fr. Bivan thanked Fr. Pius for accepting the responsibility of leading the community and urged the members to extend their full support to him in his new mission.
Fr. Pius Varghese, expressing his deep gratitude to the Provincial and the Salesian Council for placing their trust in him, pledged to lead the community with dedication. He also thanked Fr. Bivan for conducting the installation ceremony and requested the community’s prayers for guidance as he embarked on this important role, ensuring the community stays on the right path.
