Rev Fr Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial addressing the Commission Heads of the Province during the Province Commission Heads Meeting held at the provincial House, Guwahati on 12 February 2025.
The Province Commission Heads Meeting was held today, 12th February 2025, at the Board Room, Provincial House, Panbazar, Guwahati, bringing together commission heads to discuss the need for a structured Salesian Plan and review the ongoing initiatives of the province.
The meeting commenced with an opening prayer by Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial, followed by a welcome address from him. In his speech, he emphasized that commissions should not merely exist in the Directory of the Province but should be actively functioning. He appreciated the presence of all the commission heads and encouraged them to take forward the various plans of their respective commissions.
Fr. Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim SDB then led a session highlighting the importance of a Salesian Plan in guiding the commissions towards their objectives. Various commission heads presented updates on their respective sectors, including education, youth at risk, social communication, formation, and finance. The discussion focused on identifying the objectives, mission, vision, and both short-term and long-term plans of the various commissions.
In his concluding remarks, Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB expressed gratitude for the contributions of all commission heads and encouraged their continued commitment to the Salesian mission. The meeting concluded with a closing remark and prayer led by Fr. Provincial.
