Members of the Social Communication Commission of the province reviewing provincial policies regarding book publications under Don Bosco Communications.
The Social Communication Commission of the province convened on 28th January 2025 for its meeting, presided over by Rev. Fr. Joy Kachappilly, SDB, the delegate for Social Communication. Held in a hybrid format, the meeting saw two commission members participating online.
Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal, SDB, Provincial, addressed the gathering, commending the commission for its efficiency in disseminating news through the province’s website and social networking platforms. He praised the timely publication of the province’s NEWSLINE and encouraged the commission to continue inspiring confreres to maximize their potential through technology and social media.
The meeting focused on discussing the upcoming issue of NEWSLINE and reviewing the province policies regarding book publications under Don Bosco Communications. The commission also resolved to create awareness among young students in Salesian centers and institutes about using media professionally and responsibly.
Rev. Fr. Thomas Kalapurackal (KA) of the Dimapur Province participated in the meeting and explored collaborative initiatives with the commission, including publishing books in various Northeast dialects. The session underscored the importance of leveraging media for education, inspiration, and effective communication.
