The grounds of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (Primary Section) on August 22, 2025, were abuzz with creativity and enthusiasm as the Primary Section students proudly hosted its annual Science and Cultural Exhibition on Thursday. The event, held under the theme “Innovate, Elevate and Educate,” was a vibrant showcase of young talent and a celebration of both scientific curiosity and rich cultural heritage.

The occasion was graced by the presence of Smt. Rebecca Changsan, Joint Secretary (Education) of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC), who attended as the Chief Guest. She was warmly welcomed by the school administration, teachers, and beaming students.

The exhibition was a testament to the students’ hard work during their summer break. Students from the upper primary classes displayed a series of innovative and creative science projects, explaining their models and experiments with remarkable confidence. From simple machines to eco-friendly solutions, the projects reflected a deep engagement with scientific principles and a passion for problem-solving.

Meanwhile, the lower classes transformed the venue into a colourful tapestry of local tradition. Students adorned beautiful traditional attire and presented exhibits that highlighted the region’s rich cultural legacy through art, crafts, and informative displays. The exhibition grounds were a feast for the senses, featuring not only these intellectual and artistic displays but also stalls offering tasty homemade food prepared by the school community.

The Chief Guest, Smt. Rebecca Changsan, took a keen interest in every stall, interacting with the young exhibitors and listening intently to their explanations. She commended the students for their exceptional efforts and praised the school management and teachers for organizing such a holistic event that successfully blends academic learning with cultural preservation.

“The energy and innovation on display here today are truly inspiring,” Smt. Changsan remarked. “It is heartening to see such young minds embracing both the logic of science and the beauty of their culture. Don Bosco School is to be lauded for fostering such a well-rounded educational environment.”

The school administration expressed that the event was a resounding success, providing a platform for students to build confidence, express their ideas, and learn from one another. They extended a heartfelt thank you to the parents for their unwavering support and encouragement, acknowledging that the event’s success would not have been possible without their active participation and collaboration.

The exhibition concluded on a high note, leaving students, parents, and guests with a joyful and meaningful experience, embodying the school’s commitment to nurturing innovative, knowledgeable, and culturally grounded individuals.
