The Tura Zone Talent Youth Festival 2026 was held on 2 October at Holy Cross Church, Rongkhon Parish, bringing together around 250 young people from 10 parishes of the Tura Diocese Catholic Youth Movement – Tura Zone. Hosted by Rongkhon Parish, the one-day festival provided a vibrant platform for young people to celebrate their faith, talents, fellowship and unity.

The programme began with registration, followed by the Rosary and Holy Mass. Rev. Fr. Justin Arul Chinnaparaj celebrated the Holy Mass.

At 11:30 a.m., an inauguration-cum-felicitation programme was held. As a gesture of appreciation for their dedicated service and support to youth ministry, Rev. Fr. Justin Arul, Rev. Sr. Marisha, Rev. Sr. Joslin, Rev. Sr. Joseph Mathew and Mr. Ronish were felicitated.

The festival then moved into a lively series of competitions animated by the youth leaders. Participants showcased their creativity and abilities through Drawing and An-dinga-oka, Fancy Dress, Choreography Dance and Tug of War. The activities created an atmosphere of enthusiasm, healthy competition and friendship among the young people from the different parishes.

In the afternoon, Rev. Fr. Sylvester M. Sangma, Tura Zone Youth Animator, joined the programme and encouraged the young people to participate actively in youth ministry, nurture their talents and remain firmly rooted in their faith. His presence and words of encouragement further inspired the participants and added enthusiasm to the celebrations.

Following lunch, the afternoon competitions continued, giving the young participants further opportunities to display their talents and teamwork. The festival concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, followed by the departure of the participants. The successful celebration echoed its inspiring message: “Let’s come together, celebrate talent and grow in faith!”
