The Province organized its Tri-Monthly Recollection for clerics and brothers on March 21–22, 2026, at the Provincial House, Panbazar. The recollection brought together fifty-one young Salesians for a time of prayer, reflection, and renewal, centered on the theme: “Remain in My Love (Jn 15:9): Fidelity in Our Vocation.”

The recollection was animated by Rev. Fr. Koitharaputhenpura Thomas John SDB, who served as the preacher, guiding participants through moments of deep spiritual reflection and encouraging them to remain rooted in Christ’s love in their vocational journey.

The programme began on Saturday with arrival and fellowship, followed by the first session led by Fr. Joseph Thelekatt SDB on the theme “Getting Stuck in the Negatives.” The session helped the clerics understand the need to move beyond themselves and recognize what guides them in the process of transformation. The day included a recollection talk by Fr. Koitharaputhenpura Thomas John, Eucharistic adoration, confessions, and common evening prayer animated by the young Salesians.

The day concluded with the rosary and a good night talk by Fr. Sebastian Kurichel SDB, Provincial. In his good night talk, the Provincial emphasized that the tri-monthly recollection is a time to come together in a spirit of unity and prayer. He noted that there is no perfect community and that it depends on each young confrere in how they relate to the Rector and other community members. He also spoke about each one’s commitment to the works entrusted to them in the community.

Furthermore, Fr Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial highlighted the centrality of Christ, stating that most community problems arise when Christ is not placed at the center. He reminded the clerics that Jesus is the head of the community and that obedience to His teachings leads to the fullness of life.

Sunday began with personal prayer and Lectio Divina on the theme: “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch” (Lk 5:1–11), followed by the Holy Mass presided over by Fr. Sebastian Kurichel. The second day featured a series of formative sessions, including Session II by Fr. Bivan R. Mukhim, Vice Provincial, on the theme “Growing as a Salesian Leader.” This was followed by Session III by Fr. Romanus Barwa SDB on “Guidelines for Salesian Etiquette.”

A group dynamics session led by Fr. Bivan R. Mukhim further engaged the participants, focusing on “Living the Salesian Identity Today,” helping them to internalize the values of their vocation in a practical and community-oriented manner.

The recollection concluded with lunch and departure, leaving the participants spiritually enriched and renewed in their commitment to live their Salesian vocation faithfully.
