Don Bosco School, Ramfalbil, organized an enriching three-day Scouts and Guides Training Camp from 6th to 9th June 2025. The event brought together 150 enthusiastic students, including participants from St. Francis Xavier Higher Secondary School, Dotma, who joined the scouts and guides of Don Bosco School for this exciting initiative.

The training camp was conducted under the guidance of Sir A.R. Lazar, ALT Don Bosco Scouts District Training Commissioner from Guwahati. The sessions focused on instilling core values, discipline, and leadership among the young participants through a well-structured program.

Key topics covered during the camp included:

• Scouts & Guides signs, salutes, promises, and positions
• Understanding the Scouts & Guides law
• Traditional songs such as Prarthana (Prayer Song), Flag Song, Campfire Opening Song, and Taps Song (Campfire Closing)
• Activities like the left-hand handshake, kit inspection, and flag break with a Colour Party march past
• Familiarization with the B.P. (Baden Powell) Sign

The final day of the camp was marked by an impressive display of all that the students had learned. The performances, held in the presence of the entire school and dignitaries on the dais, were a lively and thrilling testament to the dedication and energy of the young scouts and guides.

The Scouts and Guides Training Camp was organized as a preparatory initiative for the upcoming 15th Mini Boscoree scheduled to be held at Barpeta Road later this month.

Rev. Fr. Edward D’Souza SDB graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest. Also present was Rev. Fr. Naresh Jojowar SDB, Principal of St. Francis Xavier School, Dotma, who encouraged the students with his presence.

The camp concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Rev. Fr. Joseph Mung SDB, Principal of Don Bosco School, Ramfalbil. He expressed his gratitude to the Camp Chief, staff members, and all students for their active and spirited participation, which made the event a grand success.
