The Summer Time Youth Ministry (STYM) 2026 concluded successfully at Holy Cross Parish, Rongkhon, on Sunday, 12 July 2026, after three enriching days of prayer, faith formation, leadership development, and fellowship in the spirit of St. John Bosco.

The final day began with praise and worship, followed by youth animation and Session VI, presented by Sr. Elizabeth Ch. Marak MSMHC, on “The Importance of the Rosary and Mother Mary.” In her inspiring reflection, she encouraged the young participants to develop a deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and to make the Rosary an integral part of their daily spiritual life.

Following breakfast, the participants gathered for the Rosary and a Thanksgiving Adoration, offering heartfelt gratitude to God for the many graces and blessings received during the three-day programme.

The concluding Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Jogesh B. Sangma SDB, Principal of Don Bosco College, Tura. In his homily, he exhorted the young people to remain steadfast in their faith, live according to Gospel values, and become authentic witnesses of Christ in their families, parishes, and society.

The ministry concluded with an evaluation session, the valedictory programme, the lowering of the Parish Youth Flag, the cleaning of the camp premises, refreshments, and the departure of the participants.

The Summer Time Youth Ministry 2026 proved to be a transformative experience for the 80 participants. Through prayer, the celebration of the sacraments, inspiring input sessions, leadership formation, and joyful fellowship, the young people strengthened their faith, deepened their understanding of Catholic values, and were inspired to become responsible and committed leaders in the spirit of Don Bosco. The programme concluded with a renewed commitment among the youth to serve God, the Church, and society with generosity, enthusiasm, and hope.
