The Summer Time Youth Ministry (STYM) programme at Don Bosco Parish, Tangla, concluded on 13^th July 2025 with a solemn Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr Jeremias Tirkey SDB, Rector and Parish Priest of Tangla. The Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim SDB, Vice Provincial of the Salesian Province of Guwahati, and was attended by all the youth participants.

In his heartfelt message, Fr Jeremias Tirkey expressed his gratitude to the Salesian brothers for their dedicated animation and guidance throughout the programme. He also thanked the young people for their enthusiastic participation and presence, which brought life and meaning to the entire event.

Preaching the homily, Fr Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim urged the youth to be instruments of service in today’s world. Reflecting on the Gospel scene of the Last Judgement, he reminded the young people that their worth will be measured by how they serve their brothers and sisters in need. “In an age dominated by self-interest and technology-driven isolation, Christ invites each one of us to forget ourselves and extend our hands in loving service,” he said. He concluded by encouraging everyone to pray for the grace to serve others with joy and generosity.

Following the Holy Mass, the concluding programme was held at Guido Hall. The youth gathered joyfully to celebrate the fruitful days spent together. The Youth President of Tangla Parish delivered the vote of thanks, expressing deep appreciation to the Parish Priest and the brothers for their tireless efforts in organizing and animating the STYM programme.
