A wave of youthful energy swept through Don Bosco Parish, Tangla as the Summer Time Youth Ministry (STYM) was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and joy on 11^th July 2025. With around 250 youth participants from both Tangla and Dimakuchi, the inaugural day marked a vibrant beginning to a spiritually enriching and community-building event.

The programme began in the afternoon with registration and Holy Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr. Jeremias Tirkey SDB, the Parish Priest and Rector of Tangla. During the inaugural ceremony, held in the evening, Fr. Jeremias warmly welcomed the Salesian brothers who will be animating the youth during the camp. He expressed deep appreciation to the Province for organizing such a dynamic initiative and emphasized the importance of STYM in transforming the lives of young people, preparing them to serve society and fellow youth with Christian values and responsibility.

Themed under “Pilgrims of Hope”, the programme includes sessions on goal setting, Christian identity, youth roles in the Church, games, prayer moments, and vibrant group activities led by a dedicated team of brothers. The camp will continue until 13th July, concluding with a special Holy Mass celebrated by the Vice Provincial and a ceremony led by youth leaders.
