Students of St. Dominic Savio Higher Secondary School, Garobadha, on March 27, 2026 brought laurels to their institution by securing an impressive 16 medals at the 1st-ever Block Level Athletics Meet 2026. The event was organised by the South West Garo Hills District Athletics Association and witnessed enthusiastic participation from nine schools across the district.
The young athletes competed in a variety of track and field events, including the 100m, 200m, and 400m races, as well as long jump, shot put, javelin throw, and discus throw. Demonstrating exceptional skill, discipline, and determination, the students of St. Dominic Savio School delivered outstanding performances across multiple events.
Out of 20 participants from the school, 16 athletes secured podium finishes, a testament to their rigorous training and strong competitive spirit. The students were accompanied and guided by their teachers, whose constant encouragement and support contributed significantly to their success.
