The five-day SPCSA Assembly, Council and Salesian Family Superiors’ Meet 2026, hosted by the Salesian Province of Guwahati, concluded on a high note on the evening of 06 March 2026 at Don Bosco Institute. The gathering brought together Salesian Provincials, delegates, network heads and Major Superiors of the Salesian Family from across South Asia.

Participants expressed their deep appreciation to the Province of Guwahati and the community of Don Bosco Institute for the excellent organization, warm hospitality and smooth conduct of the programme throughout the five days.

Fr Biju Michael, SDB, General Councillor for South Asia, commended the province for the meticulous planning and execution of the assembly. Appreciating the efforts of the organizing team, he remarked, “Thank you very much for everything. All well organised.” His words reflected the sentiments shared by many of the participants who experienced the cordial atmosphere and efficient arrangements during the gathering.

Echoing similar sentiments, Fr Parankimalil John, SDB, Secretary of the SPCSA, lauded the leadership of Fr Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial of Guwahati. Expressing profound gratitude on behalf of the SPCSA Secretariat, the Provincials, participants of the Assembly and Council, and the Major Superiors of the Salesian Family, Fr Johny acknowledged the gracious leadership and generous hospitality extended by the province.

He noted that many participants personally conveyed their admiration and appreciation for the dedication shown by the Guwahati Province and the DBI community. They also requested that their gratitude be conveyed in a special way to the Provincial and the organizing team.

The atmosphere experienced during the assembly, participants remarked, truly reflected the living spirit of Saint John Bosco’s Oratory, a home that welcomes, a school that educates, a parish that evangelises, and a playground where friendships grow.
