On 15th August 2025, the community of Snehalaya joined the rest of the nation in celebrating the 79th Anniversary of India’s Independence with great pride and enthusiasm at the institute’s campus.

The celebration began with the hoisting of the national flag by Rev. Fr. Lukose Cheruvalel, SDB, Director of the centre, in the presence of the staff and students who had gathered for the occasion. As the tricolour unfurled in the morning sky, the atmosphere was filled with patriotic zeal.

In his address, Fr. Lukose reminded everyone of the rich heritage of the nation, urging all Indians to be grateful to God for the gift of the country. He encouraged everyone to work towards the growth and development of the nation, highlighting that each person can contribute to its prosperity through hard work and dedication.

The event also featured vibrant cultural performances by the students of Snehalaya, showcasing their talents and expressing their love for the nation. The programme concluded with a renewed sense of unity, patriotism, and commitment to building a better India.
