Rev. Fr. Denis Toju Sangma SDB was officially installed as the new Parish Priest of Don Bosco Parish, Gojapara on April 13, 2025 by his Grace John Moolachira DD, the Archbishop of Guwahati.
Amidst the solemnity of Palm Sunday, Rev. Fr. Denis Toju Sangma SDB was officially installed as the new Parish Priest of Don Bosco Parish, Gojapara on April 13, 2025. The installation ceremony took place during the Palm Sunday Holy Mass presided over by His Grace Rev. John Moolachira DD, Archbishop of Guwahati.
The sacred liturgy commenced with a vibrant Palm Sunday procession from the Don Bosco School campus and culminated at the shrine of St. John Bosco. A large number of parishioners, along with Salesian priests from the region, gathered at the shrine to witness and celebrate the meaningful occasion.
In a symbolic and grace-filled moment, Archbishop Moolachira personally administered the oath of office to Fr. Denis Sangma, who solemnly signed the official documents, thereby assuming the responsibilities of Parish Priest. The Archbishop extended his heartfelt encouragement and blessings to the newly installed parish priest, praying for God’s guidance and strength in his pastoral ministry.
The atmosphere was one of devotion, joy, and hope as the faithful welcomed their new shepherd. The event marked not only a significant liturgical day in the Church’s calendar but also a new chapter in the spiritual journey of Don Bosco Parish, Gojapara.
