Don Bosco School, Amkachi, celebrated the 77th Republic Day of the nation with great fervour and patriotic spirit on Monday, 26 January 2026. The entire school community came together to honour the ideals of the Indian Constitution and to express gratitude for the freedom and rights enjoyed by the citizens of the country.

The celebration was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, a distinguished alumnus of the school, who shared an inspiring message with the students. Recalling the famous words of the late US President John F. Kennedy, he encouraged the young people to reflect on their responsibilities towards the nation. He also expressed his joy and pride in being part of the Don Bosco family, reminiscing about his days as a past pupil of Don Bosco School, Amkachi.

The Principal, Rev. Fr. Joaquim, proposed the vote of thanks and highlighted the significance of the Indian Constitution, which has been guiding the nation since its adoption on 26 January 1950. He underscored the core values of justice, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution and urged the students to uphold these values in their daily lives and future endeavours.

The Republic Day celebrations were further enlivened by cultural programmes, patriotic songs, and performances by the students, all of which reflected a deep sense of national pride.
