The Province is all set to host a significant and grace-filled five-day gathering of the Salesian leadership of South Asia at Don Bosco Institute, Kharghuli, Guwahati. From 2nd to 6th March 2026, the Province will host the 26th SPCSA Assembly, the 52nd SPCSA Council, and the Salesian Family Superiors’ Meet, bringing together Provincials, delegates, network heads, and leaders of the Salesian Family from across the Region.

This annual convergence of the Salesian Provincials’ Conference of South Asia (SPCSA) serves as a vital platform for prayer, reflection, evaluation, and strategic planning. The Assembly will focus on animation, sharing of reports from various regional networks, youth ministry initiatives, missionary commitments, formation, and collaborative pastoral priorities. The presence of Fr. Biju Michael, General Councillor for South Asia and President of SPCSA, and Fr. Rafael Bejarano, General Councillor for Youth Ministry, will add depth and direction to the deliberations.

The 52nd SPCSA Council will take forward key administrative and policy matters, including budgets, annual plans, implementation reports, and discussions on the Six-Year Plan of the Region. Important themes such as inter-provincial collaboration, formation, missionary animation, network strengthening, and strategic evaluation will shape the conversations and decisions.

The concluding day will witness the Salesian Family Superiors’ Meet, fostering communion and collaboration among the various groups of the Salesian Family in India and South Asia. Through presentations, dialogue in the Spirit, and identification of focus areas for collaboration, the gathering will strengthen unity in mission under the charism of Don Bosco.

As the Province of Guwahati hosts this important regional event, it becomes an occasion to celebrate communion, shared responsibility, and the vibrant Salesian presence in South Asia, committed to serving young people especially the poor and marginalized with renewed conviction and hope.
