A solemn and inspiring Missionary Cross ceremony was held at the Don Bosco Pre-novitiate House on 6th June 2025, where 25 pre-novices received the Missionary Cross from Rev. Fr. Edward D’Souza SDB, a veteran Salesian missionary known for his pioneering work in the province.

Fr. Edward, in his address, captivated the young pre-novices with vivid and touching stories from his missionary experiences across the region, encouraging them to embrace the Salesian spirit of service, sacrifice, and dedication to the young.

The ceremony was presided over in the presence of Rev. Fr. Mackley Gomes SDB, the newly appointed Director of the Pre-novitiate, along with Rev. Fr. Joseph Almeida SDB, former Director, and Rev. Fr. Ajay Xaxa SDB, Administrator and Dean of the institute. Their presence added grace and depth to the occasion, marking a significant moment in the journey of the pre-novices as they prepare to follow Christ in the footsteps of Don Bosco.
