A one-day workshop titled “Maths Made Easy” was organised at Don Bosco Institute (DBI) on 29 August 2026, bringing together 20 teachers from eight schools for a day of practical learning and professional enrichment.

The workshop aimed to strengthen the teaching of Mathematics in the classroom through practical strategies, formative assessment techniques and engaging learning activities. It focused on helping teachers make Mathematics more accessible, meaningful and enjoyable for students.

The programme was facilitated by experienced resource person Mr. Dinish Kr. Lahoti, who combined demonstrations with guided practice to enable the participants to understand and apply the strategies introduced during the workshop. The interactive approach provided teachers with opportunities to explore innovative ways of presenting mathematical concepts and responding to students’ learning needs.

The participating teachers actively engaged in the various activities and practical sessions. The workshop also encouraged them to reflect on their existing classroom practices and consider new approaches to improving students’ understanding of Mathematics.

At the conclusion of the programme, the participants expressed their appreciation for the practical and engaging nature of the workshop. They returned to their respective schools with fresh ideas, renewed confidence and a commitment to implement the methods learned to enhance students’ understanding and confidence in Mathematics. The initiative reflected DBI’s continued commitment to supporting teachers through relevant professional development programmes and strengthening the quality of education in schools.
