Hindi Divas Celebrated at Don Bosco School, Panbazar

Don Bosco School, Panbazar celebrated Hindi Divas with grandeur at the school auditorium on 08th September 2025, highlighting the richness of the Hindi language and culture.
The programme began on a solemn note with Guru Vandana and Saraswati Vandana led by the school’s music teacher, Papu Gohain, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The dignitaries present included Kusum Kunja Malakar, HoD and Associate Professor, Department of Hindi, Cotton University, who was the Chief Guest; Soumitram, Assistant Editor, Hindi Pratah Khabar; Fr. (Dr.) Alex Mathew SDB, Principal; Fr. Bromio Ch. Marak SDB, Vice Principal; Ms Mollika Sharma, Academic Coordinator; along with other senior teachers.
The day featured a variety of events and activities. Apart from the speeches of the invited guests and the Principal, the highlights included the inauguration of the wall magazine, Hindi poem recitations, and the distribution of prizes among winners of the Hindi Divas competitions. A major attraction was the vibrant mythological drama Samudra Manthan, directed by Ms Nikee Kalita, the school’s Hindi faculty, which enthralled the audience with its colour and energy.
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Ms Malabika Roymedhi Das, programme coordinator and senior Hindi faculty. The celebration successfully instilled pride and appreciation for Hindi among students and staff alike.
