Rev. Fr. Silvio Roggia SDB, General Councillor for Formation, together with Rev. Fr. Jose Kuttianimattathil SDB from the Formation Team in Rome, paid a visit to the Provincial House, Guwahati, on 6 August 2025. The guests were welcomed by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Kuricheal SDB, Provincial, along with the Provincial House Community.
Both visitors had earlier participated in the South Asia Formation Commission meeting held at the Provincial House, Odxel, Goa. Following the conclusion of the meeting, they visited the Delhi Province, Guwahati Province, Shillong Province, and Dimapur Province as part of their itinerary.
During his conversation, Rev. Fr. Silvio Roggia expressed his appreciation for the Province’s dedicated efforts in nurturing vocations, both in initial and ongoing formation. He encouraged the confreres to continue guiding those discerning and pursuing the call of the Lord with commitment and pastoral sensitivity.
The General Councillor’s visit precedes his scheduled inauguration of the Academic Session at Sacred Heart Theological College, Mawlai, on the following day. His presence was seen as an inspiration and affirmation of the Province’s mission in the field of formation.
