As part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Tangla Mission, Tangla Parish organised a free medical camp on Sunday, 16 August 2026, at the parish campus. The initiative was aimed at extending compassionate healthcare services to the people and making the Jubilee celebration meaningful through service to the community.

The medical camp brought together 11 doctors and 15 nursesfrom different medical specialisations. Services included general medicine, ophthalmology, orthopaedics, paediatrics, gynaecology, dentistry and other areas of healthcare. Free medical consultations, health check-ups and medicines were provided to all who attended.

The camp was organised under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Bhaskar Raj SDB, Parish Priest, in collaboration with the members of the Parish Council. A special feature of the camp was the participation of Army medical personnel, who joined the initiative by examining patients and helping distribute medicines to those in need.

The medical team included specialists such as Dr Jaydeep Surin and Dr Michael Baghwar (Medicine), Dr Ringsar Baglari (Ophthalmology), Dr Lakshyan Kumar Baro (Orthopaedics), Dr Gaurav Das (Medicine), Dr Phanjamuthi Baro (Gynaecology), and Dr Juman Jyoti Sarma (Paediatrics), along with other medical personnel.

A good number of people from Tangla and neighbouring areas took advantage of the opportunity to undergo health check-ups and consult qualified medical professionals. The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the initiative, particularly the provision of free medicines and specialist consultations.
