The Salesian Province of Mary Help of Christians, Guwahati, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Rev. Fr. (Dr)Johnson Parackal SDB, Rector and Principal of Don Bosco College, Diphu, on being honoured with a Citation of Recognition by the Karbi Women’s Writers Forum, Diphu, in appreciation of his outstanding service in the fields of education and community development.

The honour was conferred on 29 June 2026 during a grand function held at KASA Stadium, Diphu. The citation was presented by Padma Shri awardee Madam Pokhila Lekthepi, a distinguished personality whose lifelong contributions to the promotion of Karbi language, literature, and culture have earned national recognition. The ceremony was attended by several eminent guests, literary figures, educators, and community leaders.

Fr. (Dr) Johnson Parackal has been widely appreciated for his unwavering commitment to quality education, youth empowerment, and holistic community development in the Karbi Anglong region. Under his leadership, Don Bosco College, Diphu, has continued to strengthen its academic standards while fostering social responsibility, cultural appreciation, and value-based education among students.
