Don Bosco Secondary School, Allakgipokre, under the Rongkhon Parish sub-centre, participated with distinction in the Block-Level Chief Minister’s Youth Engagement Programme held at Asanang, Tura, on Thursday, 27 August 2026. The programme, organised at the Rongram Block level, brought together students from 12 schools across the block and provided a vibrant platform for young people to showcase their talents, creativity, knowledge and skills through a variety of competitions.
Representing Don Bosco Secondary School, Allakgipokre, 30 students took part enthusiastically in the different competitions. Demonstrating confidence, teamwork, creativity and dedication, the students delivered outstanding performances and brought laurels to their school and community.
The school secured four awards in different categories:
- First Prize – Talent Show
- Second Prize – Science Exhibition
- Second Prize – Folk Dance
- Third Prize – Quiz
The impressive performances also earned the students selection for the District-Level Competitions, marking a significant achievement for Don Bosco Secondary School, Allakgipokre, and the entire Rongkhon Parish community.
The success of the students was made possible through the committed guidance and encouragement of their teachers, who worked diligently to prepare and motivate the participants. Their support enabled the students to approach each competition with confidence, enthusiasm and determination.
The achievement highlights the importance of providing young people with opportunities to develop beyond academics and to nurture their creativity, cultural talents, scientific thinking, leadership skills, teamwork and overall personality development.
The school and Rongkhon Parish extended heartfelt congratulations to all the participating students and teachers for their commendable performance. The students were also wished every success as they prepare to compete at the District Level, with hopes of achieving further recognition and bringing greater honour to their school and community.
