The results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination 2026, conducted by the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), have brought laurels to the Don Bosco schools across the state of Assam. Many Don Bosco institutions of the province have recorded exceptional performances, with several achieving a perfect 100% pass rate and producing top-tier individual scores. The board result was announced on 10 April 2026.
Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Haflong delivered a flawless result as all 178 students who appeared passed, with an astounding 155 securing First Division and 21 students earning coveted Star Marks. Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Sirajuli also recorded a perfect 100% result for its 59 students, with 57 in the First Division and 19 Star Marks.
Other schools achieving a 100% pass rate include Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Umswai (24/24, all in First Division), Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Sojong (48/48), St. Joseph’s High School, Barpeta Road (40/40), and Don Bosco School, Sashipur (38/38). Don Bosco School, Baithalangso also reported a perfect result with all 78 students passing.
The overall pass percentages were notably high across the schools. Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Gojapara achieved 99% (73 out of 74 passed), while Don Bosco School, Amguri secured a 98% pass rate with 28 First Divisions. Don Bosco H S School, Boko saw 135 out of 148 students pass (91.22%), including 80 First Divisions and 9 Star Marks.
In terms of subject-wise excellence, letter marks were abundant. English and General Science saw the highest number of letter marks across schools. For instance, Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Haflong alone saw 192 letter marks across various subjects, including 56 in General Science and 41 in Hindi.
While most institutions performed brilliantly, a few faced challenges. Don Bosco High School, Damra recorded a pass percentage of 68%, with 21 students placed in the compartmental category. Similarly, Don Bosco H. S. School, Tangla reported a 72.7% pass rate.
The schools credited the success to the collaborative spirit of students, parents, and teachers. The province congratulated all the principals, teachers and students for the good results.
