The Don Bosco educational institutions of the Province across the Garo Hills region have delivered a stellar performance in the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) SSLC examinations for the year 2026, with multiple schools achieving a perfect pass percentage and record-breaking division scores.
Among the six institutions, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Tura, Joplang Higher Secondary School, Shallang and Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Rongkhon, stood out by achieving a 100% pass rate, along with Holy Family Higher Secondary School, Rongjeng (91%), St. Dominic Savio Hr. Sec. School, Garobadha (99.2%), Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Mendal (97.50%).
Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Tura recorded the highest number of top-tier achievements, with 82 students securing First Division, followed by 22 in Second Division and 4 in Third Division. The school also saw impressive letter marks in electives such as Electronics (21) and ITES (9).
Don Bosco Hr. Sec. School, Rongkhon also reported a flawless result with 98 out of 98 students passing. The school produced 40 First Division, 44 Second Division, 11 Third Division, and 3 Simple Pass students. Standout individual performances included Mansika Hajong, who scored a perfect 100 marks in Health & Physical Education and 94 in Additional English, while Mankame R. Marak scored 95 marks in Garo (MIL).
St. Dominic Savio Hr. Sec. School, Garobadha achieved a near-perfect 99.2% pass rate, with 22 First Division, 77 Second Division, and 27 Simple Pass students. Only one student failed out of 127.
Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Mendal reported a 97.50% pass percentage, with 30 First Division, 69 Second Division, and 18 Simple Pass students, though three students could not clear the examination. Dimchira R Sangma of the school secured highest marks in Sewing Machine Opr (Ap) in the state.
Holy Family Higher Secondary School, Rongjeng saw 13 First Division, 30 Second Division, and 35 Simple Pass students, with a pass percentage of 91%.
Joplang Higher Secondary School, Shallang, though smaller in size, achieved a perfect 100% result with 10 First Division, 19 Second Division, and 2 Third Division students.

School principals and teachers across all six institutions have congratulated the students and parents for their dedication and hard work, calling the 2026 results a “milestone for education in the Garo Hills region.”
