Don Bosco School, Sashipur, had the honour of hosting a high-level delegation comprising Speakers, Deputy Speakers, Secretaries, and other dignitaries from the eight states of North East India on Tuesday, 10 February 2026. The distinguished guests were received at the school auditorium, where they interacted with the students and staff in a warm and cordial atmosphere.
The Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly, Shri Biswajit Daimary, engaged personally with the students, encouraging them and appreciating their confidence and enthusiasm. Other dignitaries also addressed the gathering, sharing words of motivation and appreciation for the institution’s mission and achievements. The Tamulpur district administration was present to officially welcome the delegation and facilitate the visit.
During their interaction, the visitors expressed great joy and satisfaction at witnessing a well-established Don Bosco institution flourishing in a remote area. They highly appreciated the disciplined environment of the school, the confidence and enthusiasm of the students, and the dedicated efforts of the teaching staff. The delegation commended the school’s strong commitment to holistic education, value-based formation, and service to the local community, describing the institution as a beacon of hope and excellence in the region.
Rev. Fr. Nicodim Aind, SDB, Principal of the school, along with the teachers and students, extended a warm welcome to the delegates and expressed gratitude for their visit and encouraging words. After spending a few hours at the campus, the delegation proceeded on their onward journey to Bhutan, carrying with them fond impressions of Don Bosco School, Sashipur, and its vibrant educational mission.
