Don Bosco School, Panbazar, organized a two-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) for its teaching staff on July 1–2, 2026 at the school’s Mama Margaret Auditorium. The programme, designed to strengthen pedagogical excellence and leadership among educators, brought together all 84 faculty members for two days of intensive learning and professional enrichment.
The resource person for the programme was Fr. (Dr.) Paul Pudussery, CSC, a renowned educationist, and a respected advocate of value-based leadership. Through interactive sessions, practical insights, and reflective discussions, he guided the participants on the evolving role of teachers in today’s dynamic educational landscape.
Welcoming the resource person, Fr. (Dr.) Alex Mathew, Principal of Don Bosco School, expressed his confidence in the programme, saying, “I’m sure that our teachers shall benefit from this enriching FDP under the seasoned master-trainer Fr. Paul.”
The first day’s module, titled “Leading from Within: Teacher Leadership for Classroom Excellence, Professional Growth and Educational Transformation,” focused on nurturing leadership qualities among teachers, encouraging them to become agents of positive change in their classrooms and institutions.
On the second day, the sessions centred on “Classroom Teaching in the 21st Century: Reimagining Learning for a Rapidly Changing World,” highlighting innovative teaching methodologies, learner-centred approaches, and the need to adapt to the rapidly changing demands of contemporary education.
The welcome address was delivered by Bitu Chetry, TGT English Faculty, while the formal vote of thanks was proposed by Dipshikha Sharma, PGT Computer Science and IT Faculty, who expressed gratitude to the resource person for his inspiring and insightful sessions that equipped teachers with practical strategies for effective teaching and professional growth.
The two-day Faculty Development Programme concluded on a highly positive note, with participants appreciating the opportunity to reflect on their vocation as educators and to strengthen their commitment to academic excellence and holistic student formation.
