Don Bosco School, Bhooteachang, joyfully celebrated the Feast of St John Bosco on 31 January 2026 with a series of programmes organised for the hostel boys and girls of the centre. The celebration was marked by prayer, fellowship, and lively activities, reflecting the Salesian spirit of joy and communion inspired by Don Bosco.
The day began with the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr Barnabas Mardi, SDB, the in-charge of the centre. In his homily, Fr Barnabas highlighted the life and mission of St John Bosco, encouraging the young to grow in faith, discipline, and love for one another, following the example of the saint who dedicated his life to the education and care of the young.
Following the Holy Mass, the celebration continued with a variety of common games and party games that brought together both boys and girls in an atmosphere of fun and healthy competition. The students also presented cultural programmes, showcasing their talents through songs, dances, and other performances, adding colour and vibrancy to the occasion.
The entire programme was well appreciated by all the hostel inmates, who enthusiastically participated in the activities. The celebration provided an opportunity for the young people to come together as one family and express their gratitude and affection for St John Bosco, the father and friend of the young.
