The Executive Meeting of the Don Bosco Past Pupils (Garobadha Unit) was held on Sunday, 03 May 2026, in the School Library, bringing together the office bearers to review and plan the activities of the association.
The meeting focused on strengthening the unit’s engagement and expanding its outreach among former students. Members discussed organizing a series of programmes aimed at fostering unity and active participation among past pupils. Among the key proposals were cultural events, sports activities, alumni reunions, and awareness campaigns to reconnect with former students and encourage greater enrolment in the association.
The executive members also deliberated on initiatives to raise funds for the development of the school. Suggestions included benefit programmes, charity drives, and collaborative ventures that would not only generate financial support but also enhance the visibility and involvement of the Past Pupils’ network.
Rev. Fr. Punit Kumar Lakra, SDB, Principal of St. Dominic Savio School, Garobadha, was present for the meeting and addressed the gathering. He encouraged the office bearers to take forward the mission and vision of the unit with commitment and enthusiasm. He urged them to live the spirit of Don Bosco in their daily lives and to uphold the values they received from the institution.
Fr. Lakra further inspired the members to be role models in society, emphasizing that their conduct and contributions should reflect the ideals of Don Bosco. “Let your lives be a witness to the values you have imbibed here, and continue to raise the flag of your alma mater high,” he said.
