On 30 April 2025, Don Bosco Institute’s amphitheatre was abuzz today as over 300 students of the April Batch received their graduation certificates in a vibrant ceremony graced by the Salesian family’s leadership.

The programme commenced with a solemn invocation, followed by captivating performances of Bodo and Adivasi folk dances that set a celebratory tone for the evening. Rev. Fr. Cletus Sebastian, SDB, Executive Director of DBI, welcomed the gathering of faculty, guests, and proud families, and extended his warm felicitations to the graduating class.

In his address, Rev. Fr. Bivan Rodrigues Mukhim, Vice Provincial, urged students to leverage the knowledge and skills honed at the institute to chart a brighter future. He emphasized that the certificates they now hold are not merely credentials, but keys that will unlock doors to meaningful employment and personal growth.

Chief Guest Rev. Sr. Mabel Gothorp, FMA, Provincial of the Salesian Sisters, Guwahati Province, challenged the graduates to become “agents of change,” imploring them to contribute positively to society’s development. She reminded them that true success lies in using one’s gifts for the common good and building a more just and compassionate world.

The ceremony concluded amid applause and best wishes as the new alumni prepared to embark on their next journey, equipped with faith, learning, and a Salesian spirit of service.
