In a gesture of solidarity and compassion, the Don Bosco Institute reached out to families affected by flooding by providing essential relief materials under its humanitarian initiative, “A Help in Need – Flood Relief Support.” The relief work was held on 24 August 2026 at Nazira, Sivsagar. Rev Fr John Rabha SDB, Associate Director of DBI along with the staff of the institute carried out the relief work.

The relief programme brought together members of the Don Bosco community and volunteers who distributed essential food items, household supplies, clothing and other necessities to people facing difficulties in the aftermath of the floods. The distribution was carried out in a spirit of service, ensuring that immediate needs of affected families were addressed with care and dignity.

A group of volunteers and representatives of the Don Bosco Institute participated in the relief effort. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the timely assistance, which provided much-needed support during a challenging period.

The initiative reflects the Don Bosco Institute’s continuing commitment to reaching out to vulnerable communities, particularly during times of natural calamity. Through such interventions, the Institute seeks to translate its mission of service into concrete action and stand with people in need.
