Don Bosco Institute celebrated the 77th Republic Day on 26 January 2026 with great enthusiasm, honouring the spirit of the Indian Constitution, the backbone of the nation’s democracy, unity, and progress.

The celebration was graced by Shri Prof. Ramesh Chandra Deka, Vice Chancellor of Cotton University, Guwahati, as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring and thought-provoking address, Prof. Deka encouraged the students to uphold the constitutional values enshrined in the Constitution and to contribute responsibly towards nation-building. He reminded the young people that the strength of the country lies in citizens who live by the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity.

The programme began with the hoisting of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem, filling the campus with a sense of pride and patriotism. Students presented a series of patriotic songs, dances, and colourful cultural performances, reflecting the rich diversity and unity of the nation. A brief reflection on the significance of Republic Day highlighted the relevance of constitutional values in contemporary society.
