Mr Anand Toppo, the resource person interacting with the students of the school.

Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Boko, conducted a one-day orientation programme for the students of Classes XI and XII on 28th July 2025 in the school premises. The session was organised with the aim of familiarising students with key aspects of school life and personal development as they step into senior secondary education.

The orientation programme featured Mr Anand Toppo as the resource person, who engaged the students through a series of interactive and insightful sessions. The day began with an ice-breaking activity titled Getting to Know, helping students feel at ease in their new environment. This was followed by a session on Discipline and Attitude Building, emphasizing the importance of character formation and responsible behaviour.

After a short break, Mr Toppo introduced students to the core aspects of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 from a student’s perspective, underlining the shift towards a more holistic and flexible learning model. The session on Career Guidance was particularly appreciated as it helped students explore various career options and plan their academic journey accordingly.

Post lunch, the students participated in a session on Mental Health and Wellbeing, an increasingly important area in student life, followed by a motivational session on Dreams and Goals, encouraging students to pursue their aspirations with focus and determination.

Rev. Fr Kerobin Minj, Principal of Don Bosco HS School, Boko, welcomed the new Class XI students to the school community. In his address, he emphasized the importance of participating in such programmes to understand the school culture and prepare for the journey ahead. He also expressed his gratitude to Mr Anand Toppo for his enriching contributions and presence.
