Don Bosco Higher Secondary School (primary section) came together to celebrate World Environment Day on June 5th, 2025 under the leadership of Fr Emmanuel Marngar SDB Principal and Bro. Paul Makri SDB, Vice Principal, and the team of teachers. The event aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and environmental awareness among students. As part of the celebration, students were given saplings to plant, promoting hands-on learning and community involvement.
Each class, accompanied by their class teachers, captain, and vice-captain, planted saplings in the school campus, adding greenery and beauty to the surroundings. This initiative not only enhanced the school’s environment but also taught students the importance of conservation and sustainability.
The theme “Act Today for a Better Tomorrow” resonated with the students, encouraging them to take small steps towards a greener future. To further foster creativity and awareness, the school conducted drawing competitions on the theme of environmental conservation. Students showcased their artistic talents, depicting their vision for a sustainable future. Prizes were awarded to the winners, and to encourage their newfound love for nature, all participants received saplings to plant and nurture.
In a parallel effort, the high school section, led by the Principal and teachers, also observed World Environment Day with equal enthusiasm. Students participated in a plantation drive, planting saplings and pledging to contribute to a sustainable future. The event concluded with a renewed commitment to environmental conservation, inspiring students to become eco-conscious individuals.
