Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Amkachi, celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2026 with great enthusiasm and gratitude, honouring the dedicated service and invaluable contribution of its teachers. The celebration, organised by the students, was held at Fr. Sebastian’s Community Hall.

The programme began with a warm welcome to the teachers, who were presented with badges and flowers as tokens of love, respect and appreciation. The students then entertained the gathering with a vibrant array of cultural performances, including dances, songs, a drama and a fashion show. Gifts were also presented to the teachers, followed by a special felicitation ceremony recognising their valuable contribution to the school community.

Speaking on behalf of the students, a student expressed heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their hard work, dedication and commitment to educating and guiding the young. The message highlighted the significant role of teachers in shaping the character, knowledge and future of their students.

In his welcoming address, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Joachim Puma, expressed his sincere appreciation to all the teachers for their tireless work, dedication and selfless service. He acknowledged the various difficulties and challenges faced by educators, noting that, despite these, the teachers continue to devote their time and energy to the education and holistic formation of the students. He thanked them for their perseverance and unwavering commitment to their noble mission.

The celebration concluded with a delicious lunch, bringing the joyful gathering to a memorable close. The entire programme was planned and conducted by the students, whose enthusiasm, creativity and teamwork contributed greatly to its success.
