The 80^th Independence Day of India was celebrated with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm at the New Tura Field, Matchakolgre, Tura, bringing together students, NCC cadets, government officials and members of the community to commemorate the nation’s Independence.

A significant highlight of the celebration was the participation of the NCC Girls’ Contingent of Don Bosco College, Tura, in the ceremonial parade. Displaying discipline, confidence and dedication, the cadets performed with precision and pride before the gathering.

The contingent’s excellent performance and smart turnout earned the 2^nd Runners-Up position in the Marching Contingent Competition, bringing honour and recognition to Don Bosco College, Tura.

The achievement is a testament to the hard work, commitment, discipline and team spirit demonstrated by the NCC cadets. Their performance reflected not only their rigorous preparation but also their determination to uphold the values of service, responsibility and patriotism fostered through the NCC.
