Two students of the Higher Secondary Section of Don Bosco College, Tura, who brought laurels to the institution through their exceptional performance in the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) Examinations conducted by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE), were felicitated by the Government of Meghalaya at a special programme held in Shillong on June 3, 2026.
Mr. Dechro M. Marak, who emerged as the State Topper, and Ms. Aime Azora G. Momin, who secured the 10th position in the State, were among the meritorious students honoured by the State Government in recognition of their academic excellence. The two students were accompanied to Shillong by Bro. Godfrey Ekka, SDB, Vice Principal.
The felicitation ceremony celebrated the achievements of students from the Arts, Science, and Commerce streams who excelled in the recently concluded HSSLC examinations. Addressing the occasion through a message posted on his X account, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Conrad K. Sangma, congratulated the students for their remarkable accomplishments.
He stated, “Glad to felicitate toppers from the Arts, Science and Commerce streams of the recently conducted State HSSLC examinations. Their hard work, discipline, and perseverance have truly paid off, and they have made their families, schools, and our State proud. Congratulations to each one of them on this remarkable achievement. May this success inspire them to dream bigger, work harder, and continue striving for excellence in the years ahead. Wishing them the very best for their future journeys.”
