Don Bosco College, Diphu celebrated the Feast of St John Bosco on Saturday, 31 January 2026, with devotion and gratitude by paying a floral tribute to the great educator and friend of the young. The celebration was marked by prayer, reflection, and a renewed commitment to live the values taught by St John Bosco.
The students of the college organised a well-prepared and meaningful prayer service in honour of Don Bosco. Through prayers and moments of reflection, the students expressed their love and reverence for the saint whose life continues to inspire generations of young people.
Fr Johnson Parackal, SDB, Rector and Principal of Don Bosco College, Diphu, welcomed the participants and addressed the assembly gathered in honour of St John Bosco. He highlighted the importance of remembering Don Bosco not merely as a historical figure, but as a living inspiration whose spirit continues to guide Salesian institutions.
Rev. Fr Vivek Lakra, SDB addressed the students on the rich legacy of St John Bosco. He encouraged the students to develop a deep love for Don Bosco and to live out the message and values that Don Bosco taught through his life—love for the young, care for the poor, and a commitment to goodness, discipline, and faith.
Following the prayer service, the teachers and staff of the institute joined the students in offering a floral tribute to St John Bosco as a sign of respect and gratitude for his enduring contribution to education and youth formation.
