The football team of Don Bosco College, Chapaguri, put up a spirited performance in the Grand Football Tournament 2026 held on 17 September 2026, organised by the Koila Moila United Development Committee at the Jawaharlal Nehru Mini Stadium, North Gandabil, Koila Moila, Chirang, BTR, Assam.

The knockout fixture was played on 17 September 2026 at 3:00 p.m., with Don Bosco College Chapaguri taking on Factory FC in a highly competitive encounter. Both teams displayed attacking intent, determination and resolute defending throughout the 90 minutes.

The match ended in an exciting 2–2 draw at full time, forcing the contest to be decided through a penalty shootout. Factory FC converted three of their spot-kicks, while Don Bosco College missed three attempts, allowing Factory FC to secure victory and advance to the next stage of the tournament.

Despite the narrow defeat, the Don Bosco College team received appreciation from the spectators and organisers for its resilience, teamwork, fighting spirit and sportsmanship displayed throughout the match. The team’s performance reflected its determination to compete with confidence and uphold the values of discipline and sporting fellowship.
