The Diaconate Ordination was solemnly celebrated at Kristu Jyoti College, Bengaluru, on 26 March 2026, marking a significant milestone in the journey of several young clerics towards priesthood. His Grace, the Most Rev. Arokiaraj Satis Kumar, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Bengaluru, presided over the Eucharistic celebration and conferred the Order of Diaconate.
The solemn occasion witnessed the presence of approximately 90 priests, including Provincials, Vice Provincials, Major Superiors, and other religious, adding grace and dignity to the celebration. Among those ordained were Deacons Marcus Kurbah and Arpan Tigga from the Province of Guwahati.
The celebration was further enriched by the prayerful participation of parents, relatives, Brothers, and Sisters, bringing together nearly 350 faithful in a spirit of thanksgiving and joy.
In his homily, Bishop Arokiaraj Satis Kumar reflected on vocation as a precious gift from God. He emphasized that true authority in the Church is rooted in humble service. He also highlighted the importance of cultivating a deep prayer life and maintaining an intimate communion with Christ. Encouraging the newly ordained, he reminded them of their mission as shepherds, called to guide the faithful towards Christ with dedication and love.
