The Don Bosco Institute, Kharghuli, solemnly celebrated Palm Sunday on 29 March 2026 with a prayerful gathering of students, fathers, and sisters. The celebration began at 8:30 AM with the blessing of the palms, followed by a procession and the Holy Mass.
The Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Jeevan Kennedy SVD, Provincial. In his homily, Fr. Jeevan reflected on Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem as a journey toward His death for the sins of all people. He reminded the faithful that they too are called to accompany Jesus in their lives so that they may experience the grace of forgiveness and mercy.
Rev. Fr. Cletus Sebastian SDB, Executive Director of DBI, welcomed the main celebrant and expressed gratitude to the fathers and sisters who had prepared the students for the celebration. He also appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students, which added devotion and spirit to the Palm Sunday observance.
The celebration concluded in an atmosphere of reverence and reflection, marking the beginning of Holy Week with prayer and devotion.
