On April 30, 2026, the Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Guwahati, celebrated its Graduation Day with great enthusiasm and pride as more than a hundred students were awarded their certificates, marking the successful completion of their courses and the beginning of new journeys.
The programme was graced by Shri Chinmoy Prakash Phookan, ACS, Commissioner of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), as the Chief Guest. Addressing the graduates, he encouraged them to face the future with confidence, stating that “receiving the certificate today should help you to face the challenging world better with the skills that you have achieved.” His words resonated with the students, inspiring them to step into the professional world with determination and competence.
Rev. Fr. Cletus Sebastian, SDB, Executive Director of DBI, warmly welcomed the gathering, extending a special greeting to the Chief Guest and the graduating students. In his address, Fr. Cletus expressed heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. John Rabha, SDB, Associate Director of DBI, and Fr. Sachin Kujur, SDB, Deputy Director, for their dedicated service. He also acknowledged the tireless efforts of the sisters and staff who played a crucial role in preparing the students to successfully complete their training and receive their certificates.
