On 16 September 2026, Bosco Reach Out (BRO), in collaboration with the Don Bosco Job Placement Network (JPN), India, National Career Service (NCS), ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), Don Bosco Technical School, Maligaon, Parish Youth and the Ministry of Labour and Employment, organised a Job Fair at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, Panbazar, Guwahati, Assam.

The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a prayer service, led by Rev. Fr. Thomas Lakra SDB, Parish Priest of St. Joseph’s Parish, Panbazar. Rev. Fr. Ignatius Gari SDB, Executive Director, BRO, Guwahati, delivered the welcome address and felicitated the guests. The gathering was honoured by the presence of Rev. Fr. Gabriel Karunaraj SDB, National Director, Don Bosco Job Placement Network, India; Shri Arvind K. Ramteke, Assistant Director, NCSC-DA, Guwahati; and Smt. Nilutpala Deka, Young Professional, NCSC-DA, Guwahati. In their messages, the guests encouraged and motivated the participating job seekers to make the most of the employment opportunities available to them. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Mathew SDB, Salesian Provincial, Province of Guwahati, expressed his appreciation on seeing a large number of young people come forward to explore employment opportunities and participate in the interviews. Representatives from the participating recruiting organisations also introduced their organisations and briefed the candidates about the available job opportunities, requirements, and career prospects.

The Job Fair witnessed the participation of 170 job seekers and 12 recruiters. We sincerely thank all the participating recruiters—SBI Life Insurance, The Employment Providers, Reliance Jio, New Checks Pvt. Ltd., Summer Sands Beach Resort, Maxx Fashion, Mynt Careers Pvt. Ltd., Flywayy Guwahati, Iprocess–ICICI, Yuva Shakti, FMC Global, and QuessCorp Guwahati—for their valuable participation and support in making the Job Fair a meaningful platform for connecting job seekers with employment opportunities.

The initiative reflects the shared commitment of BRO and its partners to promote employability, connect job seekers with potential employers, and create pathways towards sustainable livelihoods and dignified employment for young people.
