Bosco Reach Out, in collaboration with the Don Bosco Job Placement Network India, successfully organized a Job Fair on 10 June 2026 at Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Joypur, Kharguli, Guwahati. The event aimed to create employment opportunities for unemployed youth, school dropouts, and job seekers from different backgrounds.

The inaugural programme began with a welcome address by Fr. Ignatius Gari SDB, Executive Director of Bosco Reach Out, who expressed his gratitude to all partners, recruiters, and participants for their collaboration and support. The Chief Guest, Shri Bhaskar Mili, Assistant Labour Commissioner, appreciated the initiative and encouraged the organizations to continue working for the welfare and empowerment of unemployed and marginalized youth. The Guest of Honour, Fr. V. M. Thomas SDB, Founder Director and Adviser of Don Bosco Institute, motivated the participants by highlighting the growing employment opportunities available both within India and abroad. More than 300 participants, including job seekers, staff members of Don Bosco Institute, representatives of the Don Bosco Job Placement Network India, priests, and religious sisters, attended the inauguration programme.

The Job Fair 2026 witnessed the participation of over 17 leading recruiters from various sectors across PAN India, including 6 companies participating online and 11 companies participating offline, offering more than 500 job vacancies. A total of 420 candidates registered for the interviews, while 157 candidates attended walk-in interviews. Out of these, 66 candidates were selected for employment, and 91 candidates were shortlisted for further rounds of recruitment.

A large number of freshers and experienced candidates appeared for interviews, making the event a significant platform for connecting job seekers with potential employers and promoting meaningful employment opportunities.
