Rt. Rev. Andrew R. Marak, Bishop of Tura, releasing the book on St. Artemide Zatti in Garo at Tura.

A significant moment marked the CRI (Conference of Religious India) Meeting of the Tura Unit as a book on St Artemide Zatti, translated into Garo, was officially released by Rt. Rev. Andrew R. Marak, Bishop of Tura on 19 July 2025. The event took place at the Don Bosco College of Teacher Education Seminar Hall.

The release of the book highlighted the provinces’ continued effort to make the lives of saints more accessible to the local faithful. The first copy of the book was presented to Sr Plenish R. Marak FMA, President of the CRI Tura Unit, by the Bishop.

Following the release, Rev Fr Jogesh B. Sangma SDB shared a brief but insightful introduction to the life and legacy of St Artemide Zatti, a Salesian Brother and a saint of the sick, known for his tireless service to the poor and ill. Fr Jogesh also elaborated on the initiative taken by Don Bosco Publications, Guwahati, in translating the life of this holy man into Garo to foster deeper spiritual understanding and devotion among the local communities.
