Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Boko, inaugurated its much-awaited Annual Sports Week 2025 on the morning of 22nd November 2025 with great enthusiasm and festive spirit. The school campus buzzed with excitement as students, staff, and parents gathered to witness the colourful and energetic opening ceremony.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Sri Sumit Rabha, Executive Member, Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (Boko Constituency), whose presence added significance to the occasion. The Guest of Honour, Sri Arjun Chetri, Executive Member, Sports & Youth Welfare Department, Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council (Dudhnoi), also honoured the event with his participation.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome to the dignitaries, followed by an impressive march past by the school houses. In their addresses, both the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour encouraged the students to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship and use the Sports Week as an opportunity to build discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Students enthusiastically took part in a variety of programmes, including cultural displays, drills, and the lighting of the Sports Torch, which added colour and vibrancy to the event. Their spirited participation created an atmosphere of joy, unity, and healthy competition.
The entire inauguration programme was conducted smoothly and successfully, reflecting the meticulous planning of the organizing team and the wholehearted involvement of the school community.
With the opening ceremony setting an inspiring tone, Don Bosco HS School, Boko, now looks forward to an exciting week of sporting events, camaraderie, and Bosconian sportsmanship.
