The inaugural programme, held on 22 January 2026, with Rev. Fr Jogesh B. Sangma SDB, Rector and Principal of Don Bosco College Higher Secondary Section, Tura, as the Chief Guest. In his inaugural Holy Mass, Fr Jogesh Sangma reminded the faithful that every day’s blessings come from the Lord and made a special mention of the children present at the Sabha. Referring to the words of Jesus, “Let the little children come to me,” he emphasized that children too are lovingly invited by Jesus to draw closer to Him.
On the second day of the Sabha, the Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr Victor Gorla, Parish Priest of Babadam Parish. In his homily, he reflected on the call of the apostles as a reminder of the call to faith for every Christian. He urged the faithful to strengthen their faith in Jesus in order to live a life dedicated to God and to Christ.
The highlight of the Annual Sabha was the solemn Holy Mass on Sunday, 25 January 2026, presided by Rev. Fr Januarius S. Sangma SDB. During the celebration, a number of youth received the Sacrament of Confirmation, while children received their First Holy Communion. In his homily, Fr Januarius reminded the newly confirmed youth that the Sacrament of Confirmation makes them “Soldiers of Christ,” calling them to live and witness their faith courageously. Addressing the children, he exhorted them to always receive Jesus devoutly in their hearts each time they partake in the Holy Eucharist.
At the conclusion of the Sabha, Rev. Fr Bartholomew Marak SDB, Parish Priest of Holy Cross Parish, Rongkhon, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the priests who celebrated the Holy Masses and to everyone who contributed to making the Annual Sabha a grand success.
