On 16 October 2026, Fifty-five parishioners from St Michael Parish, Damra, undertook a pilgrimage to the Don Bosco Shrine at Don Bosco, Kokrajhar, as part of their faith formation and spiritual renewal. The pilgrimage was led by Rev. Fr. Vincent Xalxo SDB, Parish Priest of St Michael Parish, Damra.
The pilgrimage commenced with a warm welcome by the Don Bosco community of Kokrajhar, who received the pilgrims and helped them feel at home. The gathering provided an opportunity for the parishioners to deepen their devotion, strengthen their faith, and experience the spiritual richness of the Salesian tradition.
Rev. Fr. K. O. Augustine SDB animated a session for the pilgrims, offering spiritual guidance and reflections to help them grow in their relationship with God and live their Christian vocation more meaningfully.
The spiritual programme included the recitation of the Holy Rosary, the opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, presided over by Rev. Fr. K. O. Augustine SDB. These moments of prayer and worship enabled the participants to renew their faith and seek God’s grace in their personal and family lives.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. Appollos Sangeeta, Vice President of the Parish Pastoral Council, and Jayanta Rabha expressed their gratitude to the Don Bosco community of Kokrajhar, Fr. K. O. Augustine, and all those who contributed to the successful organisation of the pilgrimage. Rev. Fr. Vincent Xalxo SDB, Parish Priest, also conveyed his appreciation for the warm welcome and spiritual guidance offered to the pilgrims.
After sharing lunch, the parishioners departed for Damra, carrying with them the spiritual fruits of the pilgrimage and a renewed commitment to their Christian faith.
