The Don Bosco Institute, Kharghuli, in collaboration with the District Transport Office (DTO), Kamrup Metro, organised a Road Safety Awareness Programme at the institute’s Faith Dome on Tuesday, 4th November 2025. The initiative aimed to educate students about the importance of adhering to traffic rules and the penalties associated with violations.
The programme provided valuable insights into road safety regulations, traffic discipline, and the consequences of negligence on the road. It sought to instill a sense of responsibility among young people, encouraging them to become vigilant and law-abiding citizens while driving or commuting.
Rev. Fr. John Rabha SDB, Associate Director of Don Bosco Institute, welcomed the officials from the District Transport Office and expressed heartfelt gratitude to them for conducting such an informative and timely session on campus. He emphasized that road safety awareness is an essential part of holistic education, shaping responsible individuals who care for their own lives and those of others.
The session concluded with an interactive segment where students engaged with the officials, asking questions and sharing their experiences related to road safety. The programme was both informative and impactful, reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility in ensuring safer roads for all.
